Jizo Girl~Patience and Compassion
Jizo Girl Statue ~ In Japan the Jizo statue is in simply terms to help woman through their sorrow when they have miscarried.
The word Jizo is Japanese and it means “Protection of Children & Travelers, there are several statues and each statue has a different significance and can be used for its different meanings.
Girl Jizo represents compassion & patients and you can definitely see this on her face,( even if you are not a spiritually minded).
When I walk past and see this beautiful serene little girl statue I can’t help, but look at her and smile and have a contentment feeling.
Her other attributed include
- kindness and in layman’s terms she helps you to “slow down and smell the roses”.
- of soft nature
- placed in a mediation room
- or for any one that practices Buddhism or has any other spiritual beliefs.
