Collectable Commemorative Thimble (Jasperware)
The history of Wedgwood stems back to the 1st of May 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood and Son’s.
As a tribute to its founder, the company cleverly crafted their first Jasperware thimble ( in 1980)
in honor of Josiah Wedgwood’s birth.
The mounted face of the founder is a white raised section , it was specifically designed to
replicalcate the appearance of Josiah Wedgwood when wedgwood first started.
- Condition of the thimble~ Excellent (NO chips, cracks or blemishes)
- Original Box~ Does have a small repair up one side (but is in very good condition).
Another fact to note about Wedgwood is that every item that is produced by the company is hand made, even down to the authentic hand etches stamp on the back of each piece.
This item will make a fantastic display piece or it could easily be used as a sewing tool.
All in all this is a true collector piece that will only add in value as the years pass as Wedgwood
continues its crafting of excellent quality gift and homewares.
